Classic Ben
Hollywood, how is that not more has recreated the classic (ie, Oedipus, Ben Hur) from box-office decline?
People read and experience of the drop in box office. All films in recent times are easy to digest, special effects, comic book type things. Does recently went to explore all the great stories of Greek tragedy to contemporary films. There are no any "blockbuster" movies or even companies to treat since the 50s. With the technology and special effects, the better it was, why do not we see the most spectacular performances. Imagine Oedipus rises king eyes out with modern drama and the effects today. Personally, I think remaking these great stories of interest would help the younger generation in literature and meet the fall of the Hollywood box office. Im not talking movies like "King Kong" and "Romeo and Juliet". These have become one and several brutilized times. King Kong was a certain failure in my opinion. There were large effects with a terrible, horrible argument. So Hollywood, I ask, why not venture into classics and pull of something big?
That's a great idea, I'd love to see Oedipus make it a big budget film. Who should play Oedipus? It recently made a film with Armand Asante as Ulysses, was just fine, but I still enjoyed it. I hope that Hollywood decided to turn in this direction, but probably not.
